Getting to the Old Hen House, St Agnes
By car
The Old Hen House and Endean Farm are tucked away up a hidden track on Goonown, St Agnes. We find that Sat Navs often take you the wrong way into the village, and you can end up lost on the new Park Kres housing development!
We suggest you follow our directions – we’ll send them to you when your booking is confirmed. We’re less than three miles off the A30, which is the main road into Cornwall from Exeter. In good driving conditions, it takes about 1 hr 20 minutes to reach us from the M5/A30 interchange.
By train / by bus
If you’d rather take the train, then the best way to reach us is by train to Truro station. There’s a regular train service from London Paddington via Reading, Taunton, Exeter and Plymouth as well as cross country services. From Truro Station (and the centre of Truro) there’s an hourly bus service (U1A) to the village. Alternatively, take a taxi from Truro Station for approximately £25.
By air
You can fly to Newquay, about 13 miles from the Old Hen House, with direct flights from London Gatwick, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast, St Mary's as well as various cities across Europe. Check out your options on the Cornwall Newquay Airport website. We recommend you book a hire car from the airport for the duration of your stay in Cornwall.
